Awesomesauce

Part of the-package.net's upgraded front end is the up-and-coming CoH tips, strategy and maps page. Although the page is there, there are currently no working tips, strats or maps. There are a ton of articles to write, pics to snap and literally hours of video to sift through, edit, convert and upload. It's coming...I promise.

The AI in CoH is generally pretty stupid. I don't mean that it doesn't fight well, or build well, because honestly it more-than-not kicks our ass. I mean to say that it just doesn't do what I'd like it to do so that I can make the umpteen vid clips! I'd like to say "Hey, wait till I build a bunch of shit, and then come and attack me with engies at this house...there will be an HMG there, but that's cool...I need you to die for my video project." The AI just wont cooperate. That's where my stunt man comes in. I asked Porky to help me with the project, as he's helped with others in the past, and he jumped in with both feet willingly. Thanx again Porky :) You make an exceptional 'enemy'.

So...we 'shot' for just over two hours, building different groups of units to set up for different scenarios. I built units needed for the defense or maneuver and Porky built units to attack with. After all is said and done with these projects we usually have a crazy arsenal of units and usually end the 'shoot' with an all out attack-move towards each other just for kicks and a good show. Our last session was no exception.....and what a show!

It wasn't fair (germans have more units/pop-cap than americans) but the scene itself kept me watching our units go out with a bang over and over. A real light show, and just an awesome peek into how cool CoH can be when the shit hits the fan.

2 Great Britain and France, Poland's allies, still squirmed to negotiate but finally, on September 3, 1939 both declared war on Germany. British prime minister Neville Chamerlain's dream of peace died with the blitzkrieg, but neither he nor Premier Edouard Daladier, France's virtual dictator, had a strong public backing for war. Support came with the invasion of Poland.

The Package Gets a Facelift!

It has been a LONG time coming but I have finally uploaded the new 'the-package.net' front end. I've included news feeds from different sites I think we all find interesting. If anyone has any suggestions for other feeds we should include feel free to PM me via the forums!

There has been a recent resurgence in interest in Company of Heroes lately as more members of The Package have decided to hop on board by grabbing the game. We've had some fun nights and some frustrating ones and some with a good even mix of the two. The computer's AI has been drastically improved and increased difficulty levels grants bonuses to the AI's units and resource income, making the game much more of a challenge than it has been with previous patches.

We've had some awesome games competing against each other too. I look forward to seeing some organized team games between pack members. I believe this kind of competitive fun will undoubtedly make us all better players, and perhaps give some of us a shot at some online ranked leader board showings? mb mb? Perhaps a friendly Package CoH tourney, open to any and all who are interested regardless of clan affiliation? Let's talk!

1. Adolf Hitler sent five armies into Poland on September 1, 1939, in a surprise attack. Of Poland's two million first-line troops, only one third were in the field. Poland's cavalry was chopped up by German armor, and its few planes were smashed on the ground in a massive sweep by the Luftwaffe. Poland fought bravely, hoping for British and French help, but was stabbed in the back by Russia on September 17, 1939. Stalin's armies took most of eastern Poland but blocked Germany's route to Galicia's oil and to Romania. Warsaw held out until September 27-the blitzkrieg had triumphed in one month.
